i made it...

Well....I made it =]. I'm here. At college. Away from home. It's pretty scary, but I think I can survive it. I moved in last Saturday, but today was the first day of classes. We had what Snow College calls Start Smart (basically just orientation) on Monday and Tuesday. It was very boring, but I met new people. I only had one class though. It started at 9:30 and ended at 10:20. I did have institute though. I was just so glad to have something familiar lol. Although if all of the classes are like the one I had this morning I don't think college is going to be to scary here at Snow. It feels like a bigger high school, thats all. My class was pretty small...no bigger than any of the classes I had while in high school. The professor was cool haha. He was here when my mom was. Wierd huh! She says she thinks that she had him even.

Anyway, I forgot to post about my Lagoon trip last thursday! It was way fun. Emily was at band camp so I invited my friend Jessica to go with me to take Emilies spot and ticket. It was free lagoon day for some businesses, so we got tickets from my dad's work along with a free dinner. It was way cool cause one of the families that used to be in my ward were there too for her dads work. It was awesome because I haven't seen them a whole lot since they moved....besides when I played my flute for them in there new ward (while they sang lol). I have a picture of me and Jess there...but its in her camera...so I dont have it yet. I will post it when I get it though. I just need her to send it to me.

Well, now that I have updated you on that, I am going to update you a little bit on school. I have 3 roommates. All of us are Freshman except for one. Her name is Sophia. What's funny about her is that she is in my cousins ward. What makes it even wierder...is that it's out of state. How crazy! She is from Aztec, NM which is where my cousin Steph lives =D. Way cool in my opinion. But, anyway, on Sunday me and Carol (the girl in my room) went to church. We were actually late...we missed the memo that it started at 10 and was combined with the stake. We went at 11 which is the regular time for my ward (the 1st ward!!!!!!!). Well, our bishop happen to be standing there when we walked in so we met him. He noticed that my email had the word flutes in it, while I was filling out the information paper for him. So of course now he knows I play... . Later on that night he came to our dorm hall and was visiting us who are in his ward (the top floor) and he asked me and my roommate carol to play our instruments in sacrament meeting. Ugh. Carol plays the clarinet by the way lol. But, I didn't realise that it was labor day weekend that he asked us to do that...and sadly I'm going home. So, I guess he is out of luck and I am off the hook! Ya! =]. Oh yes, I am coming home in two weeks! Which reminds me....Sister Nicholes. If you are reading this, see if the bishop has gotten in the silver medalions =]. He said that he would present that to me in sacrament meeting when I was home on a weekend. Anyway, my other roommate is not a member...she's pretty cool though. Her name is Jennifer.

Well, I probably should end this. I'll update soon!

xoxo,
Megan

I'm so excited for you! Sounds like lots of fun and new experiences! Oh, btw, Tyler was holding a laptop that the school district has provided for all middle school students this year, and he was carrying his trumpet.
